I'm going there for chemistry. Haven't decided which college to go to though. Has everyone decided which college to attend to carry out research? Any recommendations?

Thanks for your reply! The fact that he didn't respond to my last email asking him to give me a ballpark date/time has me worried. Should I write him another email though? Would that be annoying? Thanks for your opinion/guidance!

I applied to this phd program last month because they don't have a solid deadline, which is good for me. I emailed the person in charge of applications regarding my status and here's his reply: You are high on our list for possible admission in Fall 2008. I believe we will be able make you an offer soon. Then I asked him if he could give me a ballpark date/time when I will hear the official news. He never replied again. This was a week ago. The werid thing is several faculty members have already emailed me and invited me to join their group, and I don't even have the official admission yet! Does this situation look good to you?
