  1. Thank you for pointing this out. Hmm.. I am not sure what exactly is going wrong (I can still access the attached pdf). Let me post the call here: Funded Ph.D. positions at the University of Nebraska (Omaha, NE) The University of Nebraska, Omaha (UNO) is a public research university in Omaha, NE with a current enrollment of about 20K (graduate, undergraduate, and medical) students. UNO is striving to establish itself as a premier research institution and to build a strong and innovative research environment. The College of Information Science and Technology at UNO consists of the departments of Computer Science, Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis, and the School of Interdisciplinary Informatics. The College offers a vibrant research environment, full of opportunities and collaborations among its departments. Spyridon (Spyros) Mastorakis is expected to receive his PhD in June 2019 from UCLA and is joining the Computer Science department at UNO as an Assistant Professor in August 2019. His research interests revolve around the area of Future Internet, network systems, IoT, edge computing, and networks and systems security. Spyros is currently looking for 1 (potentially 2) motivated and innovative Ph.D. student(s) with background in systems, networking, communications, and security and privacy to join his research team in August 2019 or January 2020 with full financial support. The students will be involved in cutting-edge projects with: (i) research outcomes that are expected to be published at top tier venues (ACM SIGCOMM, IEEE INFOCOM, USENIX NSDI, ACM MobiCom, USENIX Security, etc.), (ii) systems development opportunities (active participation on the design and development of the Named Data Networking codebase), and (iii) standardization opportunities (within the Internet Research Task Force ICN Research Group and other communities). Students will be given the opportunity to collaborate with researchers from top- tier US institutions (such as MIT, UCLA, and UT Austin) and corporations (such as Google, Intel, and Cisco Systems). Interested students are encouraged to send their transcripts and their CV to Spyros Mastorakis at mastorakis [at] cs.ucla.edu. They are encouraged to briefly mention in their emails why they are interested in working with Spyros. Students also need to follow the admission procedure of the university and apply online through the university website. For the fall semester, the application deadline is February 15. For the spring semester, the application deadline is September 15. Both deadlines are flexible.
  2. Please see the attached call for students. Thanks! call-for-sudents-university-of-nebraska.pdf
  3. Thank you so much! I will message the administrators then.
  4. Hi guys, I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in computer science at a university in the US. I am graduating soon and I am starting as an Assistant Professor at another university in the US. I am actively looking for Ph.D. students, since I have a couple of open positions in my group. I wanted to ask whether it is ok to post on grad cafe a call for students that I have created and, if so, under which topic I should do that. Thanks!
