Hello guys,
I could use a little insight about how NSF could/would operate on a situation as mine.
So when I applied for the NSF GRF, I was a entering Master's student and my project was not funded. However, my PI put in a different proposal but had put me into doing a different project that he wanted me to do into a different funding source and I had the skills that he needed.
Well, I received the NSF GRF and my PI received his grant.
So, the first question is that what happens when I finish this project and graduate but I still have funding from NSF to go and start my PhD. Is that difficult to swing?
Second is if I am funded through the grant instead of the GRF and I complete my project and his without using the GRF by deferring funding and apply all of it to a new institution, new PI, and a new question with a different model (same field, but that's about it). Will that be an issue?
Any input would be great, kind of lost here.
