First year grad student and I was not awarded :/ Big bummer since I spent so much time on this and had like 4 professors edit my application. I keep thinking it's because I put my undergraduate GPA (3.0) as my grad school GPA even though I hadn't got any grades in yet for grad school with it being just October. What did everyone else put for their grad school GPA if they were a first year? Congrats to the awardees!
