I'm interested in applying for an Econ PhD, but do want some research experience first. There are a lot of things I wish I had done when I was in undergrad/masters that I'd like to catch up with (Maths, coding, research, etc), but it is harder as I've already graduated from those. Would love to hear from those who are taking a gap before applying (and make friends in general :P)
