I know this is a longshot but what does anyone think of the possibility that schools may re-visit their waitlist if those who previously accepted offers, later decline because of anxieties and/or hurdles presented by the COVID pandemic?

I believe I got my itinerary email with interviewing faculty two days before the interview day. If you haven't yet I'd definitely suggest reaching out to the program admin or whomever sent you the invite email. There's no harm in doing so.
