I received $500 per semester, however, this is less than the cost of one unit. Very difficult to justify considering our field does not place emphasis on how prestigious a program is.

Thank you for sharing! I can understand how you feel, I am kind of scared when it comes to that. Some of these programs are extremely expensive and its hard to get funding. Relying on loans is crazy.

I found out roughly 8 (or less) weeks after submitting my application. I wish that they offered more funding. Congratulations!

    Hi,

Thank you for sharing! Would you mind sharing how funding works or how it affected your decisions with acceptances?

  3. Hi all! I recently applied to Baylor for spring 2020 admissions and was wondering how long it took to receive decision/review the application? Also, if anyone is in the program how do you feel about it and what has your experience been like?

    Thank you for the insight!

    All the best

So I had in interview with Nova the first week of February and I heard from them in early March. Word through the grapevine though is if you got an interview you will be admitted ? now I can’t say if this is true but it sure does bring positive vibes! And good vibes bring good things!

Hey! I heard about that as well and was wondering if its true. I had an interview at the end of August, but I have not heard anything as of yet. I'm hoping for good news, I am a bit worried some applicants said they have heard back a week later. Thank you!!!

I applied for the Fall 2019 cohort and was accepted to Speech@NYU part-time. The application process wasn't too bad. The admissions counselors are really nice and love to check up on you, and may make frequent phone calls. Some people found it annoying, but I had a lot of questions so I found it really helpful that they called frequently and were usually relatively easy to reach. I had a 3.610 undergrad GPA and received a 147Q and 157V on the GRE. Some relevant work experience 2 years post undergrad. Currently I'm taking the leveling courses and I'm enjoying them so far. They split the leveling course load so it's not too heavy for anyone.

I like that it's mostly distance, but you do have to go there for practicum one and two.

Thank for your reply! I recently finished by application and I am a bit nervous with my status. I am also thinking about applying to Baylor University as well. If you don't mind be asking how do you feel about Baylor's application process? Also, how long did it take to hear from both universities?

  6. I had a previous interview at NSU for the the distance learning program. To say the least, I was extremely nervous. I was wondering how long it took to hear back from NSU? Also, I heard if you had an interview you are most likely to be accepted? Is that true? I feel like that is a stretch, but I would love to hear how those who have been accepted feel about the program. Thank you in advance for the insight!
