  1. I can't fathom the chaos that the universities need to deal with right now... schools closing, switching to virtual classes, administrative stuff, etc.

But at the same time... PLEASE JUST LET ME KNOW IF I'M ACCEPTED/REJECTED IN YOUR PROGRAM!! The wait is killing me! I would much rather know that I'm rejected than continue to wait for any signs of acceptance.

One of my schools sent out rejections last Thursday and Friday it seems, but I haven’t seen any interview invites yet. I need to book one of my flights for the end of Feb for another school’s interview day and the school’s interview date is two days after so I can’t book until I know where I’ll be flying in and out of! Is it weird to call and ask when they will be sending invites?

I am certainly no expert, but that sounds like a totally reasonable thing to do. Worst case maybe you can buy trip insurance if you need to change your flight.

  3. Sorry if this has already been asked!

One of my schools sent out invites in mid December and I never received anything. The official Interview Day is next week. I would assume that I've been rejected, but I actually have not heard about anyone hearing from my POI. Obviously they may have extended interview offers and the chosen candidates don't use GradCafe, but I thought I would ask for advice anyway.

Is it inappropriate to reach out the the department and ask if all interview invites about been offered? Since the school's official day is next week I want to plan my travel accordingly... but more realistically accept my defeat.

Is it safe to say this is the week of truth?!?!?

I personally found it helpful to look back at last cycle's results to get a general idea of when each of my schools release their invites. Although it felt a bit insane to be scrolling through pages and pages of results, it ultimately eased a lot of stress as I now know that most of my schools e-mail in mid/late January. Good luck ☺️

  5. Hey everyone! I am anxiously awaiting the beginning of the application cycle for clinical psychology PhD programs and I am wondering if anyone has any input on when these applications are released. I understand that different schools have different timelines, but wanted a general idea. I would love to at least take a look at what's expected-- not too impatient to actually submit ?

    Let me know your thoughts!
