I know that this forum has probably seen a lot of these ‘lower GPA posts’, and I have searched for them, but I am looking for some more recent information and opinions from those who have been in my place.
Right now, I am a senior in college with a 3.38 GPA. At the end of this current semester, I should be at a 3.44, and with winter semester, a 3.5-ish. Are there any grad schools that will take GPAs this low? I have not taken the GRE yet, I have registered for next week and will update the thread with my scores once I get them.
For experiences/etc: I am an undergraduate research assistant and am presenting research in October, a member of NSSHLA, a member of MSHA, I volunteer at a hospital, I volunteer at an elementary school, I work 40 hours a week (night shifts) as a caregiver for a spinal cord injury patient, I used to work as a phlebotomist and have 1.5 years of experience there. I have shadowed one SLP and plan to shadow one more before graduation.
I am stuck and I have a list of schools to apply to (this is a huge list but I am going to cut down my list to 10 -ish schools. The list contains:
St. Louis University, U of South Carolina, Eastern Michigan University, Grand Valley State University, Andrews University, Adelphi University, Radford University, Central Michigan University, Northern Arizona University, Faulkner, Harding, Calvin University, Aibilene University, Saint Xavier, University of Tennessee, George Washington Univerisity.
What schools should I add? What schools will deny me and I should take off?
Thank you guys for any input or experience, I dont know what I would do without this awesome forum.
