  1. I am thinking about eventually getting a Ph.D. in public policy, but am wondering if it is smart to get an MPP first or apply directly to the Ph.D. program. There are not a ton of schools who offer the phd, so I am wondering what difference in funding is between the two programs. Does anyone have any idea if it is easier or harder to secure funding in either program? Will already having an MPP make it easier to get into a better phd program? Thanks.
  2. For all of you who have attended/are attending/or have been accepted, what were your stats? (GPA, GRE, UG, ECs, etc)
  3. Does anyone have any information of Georgetown's Government program? It says on their website that they have made huge gains in rankings, but am struggling to find information on their reputation. Any help would be great.
  4. What does everyone think is the best route: Getting a master's (in poli sci) first, or applying directly to a PhD (poli sci) program? I know some programs only offer PhD's, but I am just wondering whether or not it is worth it to have that master's degree under your belt before applying to a PhD program. Also, what are the best schools to get master's before applying for a phd?
