Same. Got my first rejection today, didn't make me feel better

First rejection from OSU, UW Madison will probably break the same news, considering the fact I didn't receive an interview invitation.

Last year, Rice sent out the decisions on the Jan 19 based on the result page. Any news about Rice?
Same thoughts about George Washington. Anybody?

I interviewed at Wisconsin in January 2018 (the professor I was interested in working with has now left), and I think that those who didn’t receive interview requests were rejected. I could be wrong, though.
This year it’s a little different too, as it seems interview requests were not sent out all at once, as I believe they were (mostly) in 2018 (i.e., all CP requests were sent out on the same day, unlike this cycle).
I think that's a really strange approach, sending the interviews in batches.

I did my interview with UW Madison as well. The professor told me that they are likely to (since the schedule may anyway change!) let us know the results at the end of the month.
I wonder if those who did not get an interview can consider themselves as rejected at this stage?

Dear friends, make some noise!
Personally, my anxiety has gone through the roof, I figured communication with other people going through this process could be helpful.
I have applied to ten PhD programs, both American (8) and Canadian (2). Currently, I am at my last Master's year and my research focuses on Post-Soviet Russia.
What about you?

Madison's results page shows a rejection now. Isn't it too early for rejections to be sent out?
By the way congrats to those who got called for interviews.
Still under review for me.
