articulators

I thought I'd start a thread for anyone who's currently a grad student to share any departments that are generally nice. It's kind of a stereotype that grad students are going to be mistreated and miserable, but of course there are awesome departments out there. Have you heard of any departments that are super supportive, have good relationships between professors and students, offer fair compensation for TA/RAships, don't put unreasonable expectations on grad students, etc.? I'd love to hear from any current grad students who are having a good time!
