sorry to hear that
Thank you! Sort of hoping by some chance that I can get a spot with all coronavirus stuff but wasn't even waitlisted. I'll probably email April 15th anyway to sort of be like I'm still interested!

I am only applying to Indiana University (Jan 15 due date). If I am rejected/waitlisted I am going to apply to Akron/Cincinnati which have later dates.

Indiana has a great program! If I weren't from Bloomington I definitely would aim for their program. If you have any questions feel free to message! My dad actually works in the department.

I've only been able to get a couple of non-SLP friends to look over my statement so I would greatly appreciate it if someone with more knowledge of the field could. Thank you so much to anyone who can help!!
Hi! I know you posted awhile ago but any chance we could trade statements?

Would anyone be willing to read over my statement of intent? I'm not a good writer and I would love some outside opinions. If anyone wants me to read over theirs as well I can.
I would be happy to look yours over! I'm currently editing mine so in that mode of looking at fine details. Feel free to PM me

I broke mine into parts, so I had "professional experience" as my heading before giving employment and then "clinical observation experience" as the heading before I gave my shadowing experiences. I also had a third heading for "leadership and community involvement". Your resume is your chance to really show them what 1) you've done related to your future career and 2)~something that they may not see otherwise~, what jobs/activities/duties you've done that may not relate to speech but provided you with skills that you'll need in life. You've got this!
That's great advice! I was struggling to think about how to put in my examples of shadowing SLP.

Hi all,
Wondering if anyone had any tips for writing their resume for their grad application. How to incorporate SLP shadow experiences etc. This is coming from out of field applicant so I have a lot of different experiences. Would love any tips or if anyone is willing to share their resume (feel free to delete personal information - more interested in the format)
Thanks!

I’m applying this cycle to. Are those scores really that low?
the instructor in my GRE class said those are great scores. Especially for SLP

My number one choice is Colorado boulderI’m out of field and have a bit of a lower GPA (3.3), and I think my GRE will be lower (150s) and taking it soon. But have been shadowing and think I have a strong personal statement. Fingers crossed.

Hi! So I am currently in the MA program at CU Boulder. I know when I was in this position it was hard to decide where to go. The program is great and Boulder is awesome. I think when picking where to go think a lot about location. In the end, a lot of programs are similar.
