Here's an update on my application timeline for anyone who comes across my MIT PhDCEP post in the future:
I submitted my application through the Chemical Engineering GradApply portal in the fall. I was contacted in February, to inform me that my application was under review at MIT Sloan. I interviewed with a Sloan admissions officer a few weeks later. I was admitted within a week of the interview!
