I called Berkeley last week and they said decisions would be out by around February 22nd. I also talked to Columbia today and they said my application decision would be sent out in the next week or two. When did you apply? I submitted my applications on November 26th.

Hi! I have my Penn interview today at 2:45 PT and was wondering if anyone has any tips! Also, how long did it take for you guys to hear back? I have heard between the night after the interview or 2 weeks later. Any info is appreciated!

Don't worry! It is still mid January and most decisions come out late January-Febuary. Also, remember the context! This is a super skewed sample, generally people post good news, not no news, so it looks like everyone is getting accepted and you aren't, but this sample ain't reliable and doesn't reflect the general population.

I was talking about Columbia, but I have an interview with Michigan on Tuesday! They requested the interview, but there aren't any discrepancies in my grades (All A's except for one B in college) so I have no idea what they want from me. I even talked to someone in the office and she was really confused about why they asked to interview me considering my stats. Hoping it's good news, not some weakness in my app I haven't been aware of.

I submitted on December 1st and got the application complete email on December 12th too. Fingers crossed we hear tomorrow! Looks like they send it out around 5pm ET so I will be ALL OVER the forum/portal tomorrow at that time.

I called and talked to someone for a long time today and she was incredibly kind and helpful! I submitted late November and the school requested an interview with me. I had no idea why so she took the time to go through my application and try to figure out why they wanted to talk to me. Highly recommend calling, it really put me at ease.

Yes! I called and said my first name and the person I spoke to said that my application had already been reviewed so I would hear anytime in the next couple weeks. I thought maybe I was getting brushed off because I knew I hadn't given them my last name, so that explains it. I say don't worry about calling multiple times! They go through this every year and know that a bunch of stressed out applicants (us) are going to call with questions.

Lol. I called and was told if I applied in early December I would hear in the next two weeks.

I got one that said "there is still time to apply before the February 15th deadline" even though I already applied.

Nothing yet! From the forums I have read from past application cycles it looks like decisions go out late January/early February but I think it changes year to year.

Yeah! I applied late November, they requested an interview for the 21st of January.

Hi everyone! Thank you all so much for the information. It feels really good to commiserate with other impatient applicants!! I applied to Berkeley, UPenn, U Michigan, and Columbia (haven't submitted to Penn yet, waiting on my last recommender to submit letter, all else were submitted late November). I got an email last week from Michigan asking me to interview with them on January 21st. I am a little concerned considering an interview isn't a typical part of their application process. Did anyone else receive an interview request? Any idea what this means? Stats: Bachelors in psychology, 3.86 gpa, graduated with Deans Medal, presented research on resiliency of foster youth at conferences, 7 years of informal volunteer experience, currently work as program manager of a non-profit providing probono therapy to foster youth.
