Has anyone heard from the University of the Pacific (UOP)? I was accepted, but I'm hesitant to accept due to the location and cost. I was waitlisted at Pacific University and San Jose State University, so I'm trying to decide which way to go. Any advice?
I was accepted at UOP and got a call last week letting me know about a scholarship - all they said was information was coming shortly. I am waiting to hear back and confirm if this means I received funding. I was also waitlisted at Pacific University but declined my position as I have other acceptances that I am deciding between, they told me that historically the tier 1 waitlisters all hear back regarding an acceptance so if you are on the tier 1 it is very likely (but not guaranteed) you will be accepted.
I am also hesitant about UOP bc of the location and cost although they seemed like a great program and I loved that they have a relationship with Stanford. Hopefully we can get good funding!

I do not know anything about this! The email said they didn't know if or when they were going to do it. Kinda sucks too because I bought my plane ticket, hotel, and shuttle tickets and they aren't giving refunds.
Oh no!! I am sorry to hear that. I know that airlines are giving credit for flights so you can reschedule at a later time and use it anywhere, not just the original destination but regarding hotels and shuttles I wouldn't know much about that and i guess it all comes down to if you plan to visit Purdue again. It's been a crazy application cycle!

Has any one heard back regarding funding from Purdue or UTD?
Major: Communication Disorders, B.S.
Pursuing AuD Fall 2020
GPA 4.0 // GRE: 147 V 147 Q 4.5 AW
Applied to: University of Texas-Dallas, Purdue University, University of Texas-Austin, University of North Texas, University of Arizona, Lamar University, Texas Tech University, James Madison University
Applied / Interview / Accepted / Waitlisted / Rejected / No News
Haven't heard anything yet from Purdue regarding funding! I think we may have to reach out and ask as the deadline to accept a program approaches. Have you heard anything regarding the virtual open house?
-
Is there a certain time frame where schools let their students know about funding? Or do you generally need to accept their offer then they will let you know about funding? I know things are also up in the air because of the coronavirus so its understandable some programs haven't released out funding info but I am curious as to how it generally works.

I called Ms. Elkins today and she got back to me afterwards. Do you think they'd do another one? I assume no school will extend our April 15 deadline, too. I was really hoping to go visit, but I understand the circumstances.
Maybe they can do it virtually before April 15? I feel you because I was waiting for the visit days to make a decision.

IU has cancelled their Open House/reception. If any of you have purchased airline tickets to visit your schools, they may not do refunds but they will give you a voucher so you can use it by a certain time. Stay safe, y'all!
Did IU send an email? I didn't receive anything so I am wondering if it was because I was not placed on the RSVP open house list.

Northwestern just canceled the Preview Day event because of COVID-19. I'm a little frustrated because they announced it less than 7 days prior to the event and it prevents us from getting refunds for hotels and flights
If you got your flight during March you can cancel and receive a voucher to use later. I know that Delta and American Airlines are doing this, probably other airlines as well. Try calling and letting them know and see if they can apply the voucher. Good luck!

Purdue canceled their admitted AuD students day due to COVID-19, no word yet from IU - Bloomington but its likely they will also cancel.

Does anyone know if IU Bloomington’s visit day allows you to take a guest?

Hi! I will be attending the Purdue Accepted Students Day on the 27th! ?

Hey y'all,
I have a question for those who have been accepted to multiple Au.D. programs, do you accept the multiple offers or wait for the admitted student visit days and information on funding to narrow down your decision and accept one offer before the April 15th deadline?

Hi, y'all. This might be a dumb question, but I'm genuinely curious. Do you think it would be acceptable for me to do my video conference interview in my scrubs because it's right after I get out of work? Would this be inappropriate? Or should I change as fast as I can?
Not a dumb question at all! I think ideally if you have time to change really quick - it could just be your top half - it would be best. However, if you are short on time and don't get the chance, I do not think it would be terrible either. From my experience, the video interviews have been laid back and more about getting to know you plus information on the school/program, being in a scrub top won't take away from who you are as a person and its something you can mention in passing if anything.
Hope that helps somewhat!

Professors expect you to mingle with them and to get to know you better. I don’t think their catty but at the end of the day is better for you to stand out and get accepted. Don’t be shy and smile the entire day.
Completely agree! I have also heard that it’s a way for admissions to see how you'd get along with your future classmates since you’re with them for 3/4 years and typically AuD consist of small cohorts.

My interview was February 15th. My only advice is to be yourself! The process is stressful but you’re there for a reason. Also, watch out for the other catty interviewees.
Catty interviewees ? oh no. Thank you for the advice! It is definitely a stressful process but we will get through it! ?

Hi everyone!
Has anyone attended Pacific University’s interview day? If so, what was it like? Any insight is appreciated!

Hi guys!
So glad to have found this forum. I have an interview with Pacific University on 6th of March if anyone else is attending, please let me know!
Also, has anyone heard back from any of the schools applied through CSDCAS? Pacific was the only one I heard back from so I'm just getting a little nervous about it.
Thanks guys!
Hi! I will also be interviewing at Pacific University on March 6th!

Right? I was hoping someone had been interviewed or gotten an e-mail, but I've only read what their website says: "Admission letters are typically sent out in early March indicating whether a student has been accepted and whether the student is being offered funding or is being considered for funding. Students who are accepted to the program have until April 15 to reply."
Guess we will have to play the waiting game! Check back in a month, I guess.
Ah okay! This is good to know, thanks for sharing ? hopefully we get some good news in March ?

Hi, everyone! I've been reading this forum for quite a while and though I'd chime in. Has anyone heard from Indiana University at Bloomington, Texas Tech, UT Austin, or University of Arizona?
Hi! I also applied to IU Bloomington but have not heard back yet! I found it a bit weird since all the other schools I applied to have sent a complete email/review email but IU has been silent so far.

Hi everyone! I have applied to Arizona State University, Purdue, Indiana University, Rush, Northwestern, University of Illinois, Northern Illinois University, University of Iowa, and Illinois State University! Has anyone heard anything from any of these schools?
Best of luck to everyone!
I also applied to Purdue and Indiana University! Have you heard back from either? I have not gotten any email communication from Indiana since applying.

Indiana University
Thank you for the insight!

Hi everyone! ?
I am also applying to AuD programs! So far I have applied to Purdue, IU, and the University of Northern Colorado. I am a non-traditional applicant and my background is in biology and public health, because of this I had to filter out programs that did not have speech/communications prerequisites.
Does anyone know how long schools take to review your application before sending an interview invitation?
