  1. I honestly made my final decision based on finances mainly. Due to the circumstances, I wasn't able to to visit any of the schools I was offered admissions to. I looked at tuition, any funding offered, and the cost of living in the general area around the school. I also looked into where the audiology/speech and hearing department was housed. I personally would like to work in a hospital setting; so I gave preference to schools that had the department within the medical school and had an on campus or campus affiliated hospital.
  2. Got my decision from Vanderbilt via email!
  3. Anyone know when we are supposed to hear back from Vanderbilt? I know last year decisions came out on March 8th and we've already past that date this year.
  4. University of Pittsburgh sent me my decision just now!
  5. ASU sent their decisions (at least to me)! Check them emails!
  6. I will be attending the accepted students day on the 27th!
  7. Just got my admissions decision from Purdue via email for anyone else who applied there!
  8. UNC north carolina chapel hill for me!
  9. Florida has been M.I.A. for me too. They didn't respond to any of my emails. I think other people on this forum have had the same experience as well from what I read. I honestly forgot I applied there for a while because of the radio silence.
  10. That's probably a good thing. I got rejected so I'd 'd imagine you got a different decision if it's taking longer.
  11. Yes. I received an email saying to check the portal for an update and it was the admissions decision.
  12. Washington University made their decisions today. Check the online portal!
  13. That's good to here! I've been worried long before the Auburn interview and I'm fine with the waitlist status. It would have been a nice peace or mind though to get in somewhere since I've been worried so much about my chances.
  14. Hello! I'm new to this forum and hello everyone! I'm very nervous about applications and admissions because I do not come from a background in Communication or Hearing Sciences (I was a Linguistics and Psychology major as an undergraduate). I was just waitlisted at Auburn University after interviewing and I have already/or will be interviewing for Arizona State University, Washington University in St. Louis, Purdue University, and UNC Chapel Hill. I also applied to University of Pittsburgh and Vanderbilt both of which don't do interviews from my knowledge. Is there any hope for me for admissions with a different background or do these programs greatly prefer people coming in with CSD degrees and the like? I have a stellar undergraduate GPA and GRE score but I'm worried that that doesn't really matter given the circumstances. Thanks and good luck to everyone! Hope you all aren't as nervous as I am.
