Does anyone know if for the J.A. Bombardier MA SSHRC when the payments start? The notice of award did say payments start in MAY 1, 2010 for 12 months, but obviously that has passed. Will we get May's portion in June, or is May's payment skipped? Any clue on the mechanics of this award?

Hi All, Just wondering about the 17.5 K of the MA SSHRC. How is it paid out? Do you have to still be enrolled as a student for another 12 months in order to get the full 17, 500? For example, if one gets SSHRC and is graduating from the MA program in say the fall 2010, do you only get paid the SSHRC money ('paycheck') until the fall? So technically then you don't really get the full scholarship. Would be nice to get out the 17, 500 k because I want to graduate as quickly as I can and use the remaining money for a PhD.

I agree, this is ridiculous! Everyday I think today is the day and it never is. I've never been one for patience but I just need a yes or a no from SSHRC. Any further predictions anyone on WHEN we will find out??

Hi am in the same boat as you. I am trying to be patient but my patience is now finally running out. I have no news from my university despite me pestering them often. As for contacting SSHRC, I have e-mailed them a while ago and have had no reply. Maybe we should just count on getting news in the mail but that might be only at the end of the month, as rumor has it on this forum Please post anything regarding MA news if ANYONE knows ANYTHING Thank you!

Hi Tropes, Are you an MA or PhD student? I'm trying to figure out if the MA results are being mailed yet. I'm sorry to here that, but at least you can always apply again.

Thank you. I did contact the awards committee and they told me that they have no news. Do you know who finds out first, the university or the student (via mail)? I don't think I can endure further torture until the end of the month.

Hi Everyone, I'm new to the forum, but I have been reviewing this forum pretty regularly. I know the guessing game for results has been on for a while, but does anyone have any news regarding MA SSHRC results. I'm in western Canada and it seems that no action takes place here. However, PhD students have received their letters in the mail. But what about us 'patient' MA's??
