Just heard from UMD. Got denied from their Ph.D. but accepted into their M.A. I love the program but it's just too unaffordable as an out-of-state graduate student.
Randomly logged onto my portal today for The Graduate Center CUNY and saw that there was a decision status available beginning 2/11. Rejected from my top program ?
I applied to The Graduate Center CUNY's Psychology and Law program, but like the Criminal Justice program it is also based at John Jay and has many of the same faculty. Also, my application status is still just "submitted," while another school I applied to (UMD) that uses the same portal says "under departmental/program review." I really hope to hear back soon because they are my top choice ?
Still radio silence from all of my schools...almost all of their applications were due on 12/1 so I'm surprised I haven't heard literally anything yet.
I generally applied to a mix of forensic/legal psychology and criminology programs.
Florida State University (FSU) for M.S. in Criminology
University of Florida (UF) for Ph.D. in Criminology, Law, and Society
Florida International University (FIU) for Ph.D. in Legal Psychology
University of Maryland (UMD) for Ph.D. in Criminology and Criminal Justice
Graduate Center CUNY (John Jay) for Ph.D. in Psychology and Law
I'm going crazy having not heard back from any schools yet, especially because threads from previous years have led me to believe that acceptances/rejections will be coming any day now. I just want to know already!
