I was interviewed last Monday for the ESOP fellowship. The program adviser of the MSc in Earth Sciences (Geology) said there are only 4 slots for the ESOP/ETH-D in the department this year. I hope I get it as I have no means of living in Zurich without funding
Doesn't it usually more than 60 slots?

No DITET applicants got notification?

Did anyone's 'withdraw button' disappear?

If the final roundup meeting was on 3rd February, then I think the professors / department will take a few days to send out acceptances and update their website. I would suggest not jumping to conclusions immediately and waiting a few more days. Also, most of the posts in the main results list are from CS applicants, and hardly anyone has posted about EE admits. Considering the large number of MIT EE faculty, I find it hard to believe that MIT is hardly taking in any new students for the EE branches. What I think is going on is that MIT is simply taking more time than usual in considering applications, and that seems reasonable given the challenges due to the ongoing pandemic. Probably we can come to a conclusion about the admits by the middle of next week or so.
I hope so.. but they hardly accepted any EE applicants last year too.

Congratulations! I failed to get in last year and I honestly don't know what my profile is so different than others.. I mean I know that something I cannot change but I wonder how the accepted applicant wrote thier SOP.. Would you mind sharing your SOP by any chance?

I think the EECS admission committee has chosen most of the applicants from CS subfields. The trend of acceptance seems no EE subfields has accepted to the program based on gradcafe.
I honestly think they should split their graduate program unless they actually want to use EE applicants application fee as their cash cow..
No more acceptance most likely will happen even though the 'calendar' says there is a meeting since they never had sent more than one batch. Plus, some of the professors said they are done with reviewing application.
Almost all the investment went to CS subfield since, as you might know, MIT CS is infamous for its research quality. (at least industry people know well about it) Needless to say about corona.. So EE or harware related applicants should move on to other university.
I am a bit disappointed, yet, congratulations to accepted applicants!

My field is machine learning. Actually, if you apply for a MS program, you need to check on the apply web yourself. I didn't receive any email from caltech.
Hi I have a question of your comments. Did you apply for MS program for Caltech or you applied PhD but they offered you MS? I hope you can tell me if you see this..

Would you mind sharing your subfield? I would like to know if applicants whose subfield is not computer science (I mean electrical engineering such as circuitry) got an acceptance mail too..

Does anyone whose subfield is not computer science got an acceptance email?

Thank you for sharing information. Did you also get the waitlist email? If so, can you share what they said in it?

I contacted them and they said the admissions committee was still making decisions.
Also new emails about acceptance and a first batch of waitlist emails seem to be issued right
Thank you for sharing information. Did you also get the waitlist email? If so, can you share what they said in it?

You need to check if you are in the wait list or not by yourself mailing your POI indicated in your applicstion either you can call the EECS graduate officer. I got rejected.

Hi guys, I got into MIT EECS, and received my official admission letter already. Congratulations on those also receiving the admissions! May I ask if you can see your funding already?
To others still waiting: Don't lose hopes! I have friends in previous years not getting the admissions right in the 1st wave. I don't know if they do send waitlist emails.
Congratulation. Can you share your POI initial??

I've seen on a Reddit thread that fellowship award decisions were happening before next Monday. Can we hope any admission decision next week ?
I heard from POI that the Admission Committee's decision is done. So we have to move on.

I heard from POI that the decision is done. I do not know the reasons they sent rejection email on March

Lol I didnt really get a chance to ask. I was speaking over the phone and she just mentioned that the process in still ongoing.
Thanks. it seems that sent rejection mails by Mrach for some reasons.. I have not seen many of those who accepted later than Feb. still wonder why they has to send the rejection mails laters. I guess in case many of those who accepted not going to get in? but that also does not make sense since MIT is literally a top grad. school.

Hello did anyone received an email from the EECS department head, anantha chandrakasan, about the acceptance?

The Admission Committee has been working at home from Jan. 18 since the corona virus. According to that fact, I think admission decision is not going to be done any time soon. However, they are probably doing their best to finish their work by the end of March..
