I was accepted into the new genres. They called me about one week after the interview. It was only until two days ago that my application status changed to being accepted.

Mine was updated.. also received an email that says the result has come out last night

They’re probably still sending out. I was interviewed early. The scholarship is only 25% of tuition.. Even with teaching assistant it’s gonna be hard to cover the cost. Hope you can get in!

Just got an offer from MIT SMACT program..

Really? That doesn’t sound right to me though. Like literally in their own promotional videos the students were like the great thing about UCL is that you can have access to so many other classes. It’s like a default thing in MFA programs in other universities. Also you can always audit.

So I feel Slade is more attractive to me because there’s much more you can study in UCL outside of art courses? And also the program itself seems to be much smaller than RCA one. Also it’s cheaper... you should have more information on this if you go to open days for both schools haha since you’re in London. Eventually I think it depends on whether you have a professor you want to work with in the program.

I didn’t accept it. Deposit is too much and it’s also a big program (100 ppl in CAP and only fewer than 10 faculties). RCA is going through a big change now. They’re changing CAP to a one year program likely from next year. Although it’s not going to affect us, I’m just generally worried about the decline of their reputation and overcrowded campus. Although they do have great facilities if you want to work on more things.

My interview is pretty much the same... thought I did a terrible job ? right now I’m just assuming that they will reject me.. hope you can get in though. I looked at the IS students’ CV on their website. They seem to have a much higher standard for that program

Heard back from CalArts and Slade for interviews several days ago. Also got offered a place at RCA but they wanted 2000 pounds for deposits before Feb. 2nd..... Haven't heard back from MIT, UCLA, Columbia... I'm extremely stressed about MIT because the application was turned in on Dec. 31st and it seems they have reviewed my portfolio video...
