I have acceptances into both and not from the area. I have to decide in the next couple days. Can someone give me their two cents?! Thanks!!

I went to Marquette for undergrad and majored in speech path and decided to go the audiology route! I loved my clinical experiences as an undergrad. You really do get individuals from all over Wisconsin and Chicago areas and get very diverse case loads. I was with two clients for my undergrad speech clinical and both experiences were very different and taught me so much. The professors are very passionate about what they do, diverse in their specific areas of interest, and they will push you to be your very best as a student and clinician. I absolutely LOVE Milwaukee. Milwaukee comes alive during the summer and there is so much to do from festivals, boat cruises and events to coffee shops on every corner and diverse food scene. If you do go to Marquette, you have to go to a basketball game at least once. The fans are unlike any other and the fact that we get to play in an NBA arena is amazing. If you have any questions do not hesitate to reach out! I loved my Marquette experience and the speech path program is top notch.

I was at interview day at Wayne State University, and wow...what a program! I am super excited that I got the acceptance email after interviews yesterday! The wayne aud students were there too and were talking about how awesome the classes are and how they have so many different clinic placements. They all love the teachers, supervisors, and the program and seem very happy. They had a student forum yesterday too, and a lot of them said they applied for a graduate scholarship every year and most got it. I think they said it covers 10 credits for two semesters per year! I'm going to apply for it and keep my fingers crossed! Good luck everyone!

I was there too and was THRILLED when i got my acceptance email! I've been trying to apply for the scholarship but I have had issues logging into the account to apply. Have you been having any of those issues?

Hi everyone! I am not applying this year, but am looking at applying to AuD programs next year. I am a bit worried though because I have relatively low stats: a 3.42 overall GPA, 150 V, 149 Q, and a 6 on the writing portion of the GRE. Because of this, I am looking to apply to some less competitive AuD programs. Does anyone have any program suggestions that have been traditionally less competitive? Thank you all and good luck on apps and interviews this year! :)

I definitely want to say to not count yourself out of applying to more competitive programs solely based on your stats which honestly are not bad. You are looked at holistically by programs and they take a lot more into consideration  than numbers (letters of rec are huge as well as your writing pieces that you submit). Apply to programs that will meet your personal and professional goals, look at number averages to see where you land for schools and you will end up at the right one :)

The hardest part of this forum is seeing applicants getting accepted, receiving invitations to an interview, or being waitlisted while not receiving any updates at all...couldn't help but think that I'm being rejected from every school I've applied too :( I'm happy for y'all but dang, this is so hard. I don't know what I'd do if I'm not accepted at all - you can't really do anything with a CSD degree straight out of undergrad.

I absolutely feel you on this. I've been seeing people get interviews from my number one and I also haven't heard anything from them yet. Last year I applied to MANY schools and it did not end up working out for me, but this past year I've been working full time and doing the necessary steps to apply again and saving money so that going into grad this year (hopefully) I don't have to worry too much about that! Don't get discouraged yet, there's still time to hear back from schools and you got this!☺️

Hello all! I have applied to Texas Tech, UT Austin, and UT Dallas. Would love to hear any and all updates!

Glad to know others in the process ?

Hi! I just received emails from Texas Tech this morning about setting up accounts with them, but I have not heard anything else up until this point. I'm hoping we find out soon!
