I've been following this thread for months. Figured I would update on my stats. MFA in Painting: UMass Dartmouth: Accepted, Declined offer SUNY Albany: Accepted, Declined offer Pratt Institute: Interviewed, Accepted, Declined offer (wasn't offered any financial aid) U Indiana: Interviewed, Waitlisted, Haven't heard anything since (???) Boston University: Interviewed, Accepted UC Irvine: Rejected MECA: Accepted, Declined offer UConn: Interviewed, Accepted, Accepted offer today! (fully funded, paid assistantship over 3 years!) Super happy about my decision and I wish you all the best of luck!!!

I have! I wrote a big appeal with reasons as to why I was asking. I ended up getting a few thousand more.

Has anyone heard from Pratt Painting?

I went to RISD for undergrad and MAT and I'm still paying loans. It was an amazing experience with excellent faculty.

What program was it for Pratt? Thanks!

I attended RISD painting for undergrad. Most faculty members are PHENOMENAL! I also have several experience with former grad student painters, since they were often my TA's. I'm happy to answer any department specific questions if you have any. I do know, however, that RISD does not allow painting alums to apply to their graduate department. I will say, though, I am still paying loans for the school.

Which fully funded schools did you apply to if you don't mind me asking? I applied to two; interviewed with one and haven't heard anything back yet and interviewed with the other and was waitlisted! I'm wondering if we applied to the same schools!

May I ask which school? I am also waitlisted on a funded school!

I'm currently on a waitlist where they accept 5 people per year. They recently contacted me saying I am high on the list.

Any tips? I've been admitted to my 1st choice and am still waiting to hear back from 2 more. I am wondering if anyone has any pointers on how to ask for more funding?

I also just got into MECA (full res!) a few weeks ago over the phone. they just sent the financial package.... no much $$ offered, i need to follow up with them on assistantships or something

Congrats on your acceptance!! Thanks so much for replying!! I had my interview with Indiana for painting and haven't heard anything since. Also, got rejected from UCI via portal a few days ago. Once I saw the email, I knew it was gonna be a 'no just from the phrasing

UCIrvine emails went out with information to create an account for financial purposes this morning, had a disclaimer at the bottom saying it was not related to decisions

I'm having trouble understanding the slideroom method. Does it involve where it says MFA in the top left-hand corner or where it says MFA on the submitted page? Also, is it something for all schools or just Columbia? Thanks!
