  1. Hey! I've confirmed for the Fall, but it's tentative if I'm going. Feel free to message me.
  2. Wow that's AMAZING that you got that offer though! I eventually have decided on the University of Washington, as I'm from California and it's much closer. BC was my dream school since high school (was accepted then and didn't go for a boy, huge mistake), but the rent in Boston is astronomical. But yeah, I want to start my career so badly. Every therapist I talk to says that you learn so much more in your practicums than you ever do in school, so I'm sort of hoping that I can accept portions of it being online as long as we still have practicums. We'll see though, I think most schools are supposed to let us know by June ...
  3. Hiiiii! I feel the same way. I'm choosing to press on because of how much I don't want to delay my actual career, but I will only press on if schools offer a reduced tuition rate ...
  4. Hey!! There is for sure! https://www.facebook.com/groups/881555412301865/
  5. Hi everyone! I've been accepted into BC and University of Washington for the upcoming school semester. Part of me is really wondering and considering whether I should instead attend an online school considering the following factors : 1. School, regardless of what other measures are taken, are not going to look the same after this epidemic. Will we have to wear face masks when attempting to accrue our internship hours? Be 6ft apart? Part of what I was so against online schools at the onset is because I want the "school" experience; will most of this be removed anyway under the umbrella term of being "preventative measures"? 2. We will be entering the worst job market since the Great Depression, and school is EXPENSIVE. I had estimated taking out approximately 50k in loans as a result of these programs (either), and I already have 37k in debt. Should I just go to a cheaper online school? 3. It's been speculated and confirmed by many doctors that there will be a second wave of this pandemic in the Fall. Are we just going to be switched back over to online schools any way? I don't want to pay a premium to only complete online classes any way, away from my family, away from my friends. If it's going to be transitioned over to this any way (and I've heard the majority of schools will NOT reimburse for the services you're paying for but not receiving, UW included in this list), should I just get ahead of the game? Looking for anyone's thoughts. ❤️
  6. Hi! I have both applied and heard back, but they wanted my competing scholarship information. I emailed them back about two weeks later once I had heard from other schools and now I'm waiting again, and have been waiting for about a week. So we'll see!
  7. Hey! I have heard back, at least in as much as they originally wanted my competing offers, but they weren't that competitive so I told them as much. They said they'd get back to me soon, which was a week ago. Hopefully we'll hear back by either tomorrow or next week!
  8. Did anyone else apply for the Student Information Specialist position at University of Washington for the MSW program?
  9. Not at all ~ I'll send it later this evening probably though, so expect it around 5 or 6 PST!
  10. Kk, if you want I can message you what I emailed them?? I'll just remove my personal info and you can formulate yours appropriately.
  11. Yeah definitely, did you get 10k per year or 10k total?
  12. I got a 26k Tuition Remission from BC but requested more, so we'll see what they say. They said they'd get back to me soon!
  13. Notified via email.
  14. Same. Super sucks. I'm going to make it work any way, since technically tuition is 33k and not the full loan amount that they offered me, and I think I can make that work ... somehow. But yeah, super lame.
