I feel this! I have looked at the awards page for uoft and it's pretty overwhelming. It looks like most applications will open in the fall. I think I'm going to have to make a spreadsheet to keep track of them all haha

I heard back yesterday and was accepted! I was also accepted to UofT yesterday morning so just debating which one to choose!

Haha thank you! That's the kind of positivity I needed right now! I think I can make it work and I'll sleep in 2 years lol. I was also waitlisted but just received an acceptance email today!

I worked for 7 years with at risk youth in vancouver in different capacities including manager roles then moved to toronto and have been working as a program manager for a non profit which also works with vulnerable populations. I have a BA in psych from UBC and my GPA for the final 2 years was 86%. Hope that helps!

Yeah I hear you about the burn out! I think I would go down to 28 hours for work and try to make it work...we shall see haha

Kind of a random question...but does anyone plan on working full time while doing their MSW? I have the flexibility of working from home so I could just work in the evenings and basically have no life but wanted to see if others are going to do the same?

Ahh yes I get that! I live downtown as well and I think it said 40 min on TTC but I also have a car so I'm hoping to just drive. Good luck with Laurier!

Hey you might also be interested in the 2 year MSW for working professionals through Windsor University - they have a peel location. Classes are every other Friday night and Saturday during the day. It takes 2 years and 8 months to complete but you can continue to work full time while doing their program. I think it's worth checking out

Yeah they have an MSW for working professionals that's on Fridays and Saturdays only!
