  1. One more piece of information: my supervisor is educated and working in the UK.
  2. Hi guys. Here is my situation: I applied for a PhD programme in a nordic university. The programme does not require any recommendation letter, or list former teachers or supervisors' comments on applicants as basis of evaluation, or mention that they might need to contact former teachers as part of the evaluation process. So I prepared all the documents they listed and made my application a few weeks ago without notifying my master thesis supervisor. Now the PhD admission committee want to talk to my supervisor almost immediately, however my supervisors replied that I am very unprofessional for not telling he/she earlier and he/she is busy at this point. I think he/she is quite angry. Do I need to apologise to he/her with some explanation on my mistake or make no excuse simply apologise? I feel awful now, please give me some opinions on this. thank you!
