  1. Hi People! I am a physics/ double major EEE graduate from Turkey. I want to study Atomic Molecular, Optical Physics, Quantum Computing and Information. I was nominated to Fulbright Masters Scholarship for Physics MS programs in the US. Consequently, I have been offered admission to University of Wisconsin-Madison MS in Physics-Quantum Computing program. I am quite happy with this admission. link to the program:https://www.physics.wisc.edu/mspqc curriculum:https://www.physics.wisc.edu/sites/default/files/MSQC_Suggested_Curriculum.pdf However, the program does not require thesis and it is designed for one calendar year studies.(Due to financial reasons, I will shift the summer semester to next year's fall semester.) I was wondering if this program will help me for my PhD admissions in the future. I can continue PhD in UW-Madison or somewhere else. In addition, I would like to apply ETH for a PhD degree in the future. But they require an equivalent MS degree for admission. Do you think this degree without thesis is applicable to ETH? Do you think MS in Q-Computing would be effective in my career? In addition to these, I will apply to Technical Unversity of Munich, Humboldt Unviersity and Heidelberg University. I can continue my studies in Germany and continue to PhD in the US afterwards. So you think should I continue with UW-Madison or apply to German Universities? Best regards and many thanks. Utku.
