Hi everyone, I have now committed to Columbia and am very excited about my decision but I can’t help but wonder about my admissions decision at Hunter. I never received an acceptance or rejection letter and I have previously reached out about the status of my application with no updates to follow. Any suggestions on what I should do? I’m considering emailing them about potentially reviewing my application with them to see what I could have improved on.

Couldn’t wait any longer and decided to email Hunter earlier this morning about the status of my application since I was supposed to hear back last month. Hopefully an update comes out if it because I’m getting a bit nervous! Anyone have luck with this tactic?

Hi everyone, got my acceptance letter from Columbia earlier today, I genuinely did not expect to get admitted but here we are!! Does anyone have a general idea of the timeline for financial aid, how long did they take to get back to you? also... has anyone else been admitted to Simmons and asked for an extension on the new deadline to respond? Would be very helpful to know as I am waiting for one last school to get back to me (Hunter).

It was the undergraduate community, it seems like Boston College is making a great effort to try and combat the racism occurring while promoting diversity and inclusion but it seems as though it is a frequent occurrence. While I can't confirm nor deny if their efforts are going fruitless it is something that has turned me off as a person of color.

So I did the math and it turns out Simmons is cheaper than BC even with the generous scholarship remission they gave me. Looks like Simmons is still my number one choice unless Hunter accepts me. Also, did some more research on BC as a school and was very alarmed at the many acts of racism committed by students. Wondering if that is something others have considered in their decision making...

Partial tuition remission! Should have mentioned that but still very grateful and definitely pushed BC to my top choice. If i'm being honest I had given up hope on getting accepted since so many people had heard back but randomly decided to check my email and there was a notification to check my admissions portal.

Just got accepted into Boston College SSW w/ tuition remission!! Also got news that I am an alternate at Smith but I won't be accepting a position on the waitlist as they are definite on going online for the summer and the tuition is way out of my budget. Still waiting on a response from Hunter, wish me luck and congrats to everyone receiving acceptance letters!

Hi everyone! First post in this thread but I have been checking in every week to see what updates people have on their journey. Currently, I am 75% sure I will be attending Simmons in the fall but still holding out on a update from Hunter as I already live in nyc and know the CUNY system very well as a CUNY undergrad. I wanted to see if anyone else was considering Simmons. Also, if anyone has received recent communication from Hunter. I still haven’t been notified if I will be getting an interview and with the current state of CUNY, everything is up in the air. Has anyone reached out recently?
