  1. The GPAs and GREs of this group are intense. This makes it a little easier for me to process the possibility of rejection since it's clear we are all dedicated, hard workers who are all deserving of receiving a fellowship but funding dictates that very few awards are given out.
  2. The December column originally had individual dates but someone overwrote it with "x" as in order to make tallying easier. But I liked the dates system because it showed the difference between people with late december updates and people with no update since submitting.
  3. Nope. See y'all again on Monday.
  4. That's my hope too. And based off of GradCafe results from previous years, a relatively high number of people move off the waitlist and receive the award (and that's when the NDSEG results are actually released in a timely fashion).
  5. That's enough incentive for them to get it out eventually, but not enough incentive to release today vs Monday. (I reallyyyyyyy want to be wrong, but with how many times this has been pushed back I don't think it's gonna happen today)
  6. I don't have high hopes for today. Since they already blew past the April 15th deadline they no longer have incentive to release results by a certain date. I think we're probably looking at a Monday release, at the earliest.
  7. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HHwP8Zyh8W24HRUh5WnObRExb24JhN5ZLTa7p5Q8CkI/edit#gid=0 I try to keep posting it periodically, I think a lot of people "updating" us here have also included their data in the spreadsheet.
  8. One thing I noticed from previous years is that alternates have a pretty fair chance of receiving the award since a lot of awardees decline in favor of NSF.
  9. I don't remember where I read this, some other forum from past years I think, but I saw someone applied for one branch/BAA then got handed to another branch/BAA for consideration. So it's possible they're not being evaluated by the same branch they applied for. But my memory is not 100% on this, so take it with a grain of salt.
  10. Put your latest updates in the google doc, easiest way to keep track. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HHwP8Zyh8W24HRUh5WnObRExb24JhN5ZLTa7p5Q8CkI/edit#gid=0
  11. Well I'm still in December Gang, no update for me. Did you already have april updates?
  12. I suspect he’s desperately checking his email for award confirmations from the DoD branches, just like us.
  13. I vote someone who’s previously been in contact with him. Also, hi again everyone. Looking forward to doing this for another day. Maybe this is our opportunity to hit 2000 posts. ?
  14. Twins! I'm also 12/20 ARO Biosciences
  15. Good luck y'all, we're almost there! Don't forget to update the doc with your award status (awardee, rejected, waitlist, etc) once we're on the other side! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1HHwP8Zyh8W24HRUh5WnObRExb24JhN5ZLTa7p5Q8CkI/edit#gid=0
  16. What's the prize for who posts comment #1000? Are they then a keynote speaker at the new annual ~December Gang~ conference?
  17. How am I supposed to get anything done today??? Ugh.
  18. Naturally we'll have it in December, right? ~December Gang~
  19. My contribution to the 1000
  20. I feel like they're definitely stressed and are scrambling to release the announcements today. If they weren't and decisions were made a while ago they would've released the announcements earlier.
  21. Nice screen-shot of a word document. Really clears things up, thanks.
  22. The Holy Trinity of browser tabs
  23. A haiku: What do the dates mean? ~December gang forever~ Results soon? Never.
