  1. Ironically I just hopped on here to see if anyone had the same question, I haven't been paid yet either. If you check further back in the thread I posted a link to a google drive folder where a few of the successful applicants posted their letters and proposals. Unfortunately not as many people submitted as I hoped, but we have a few..
  2. For anyone that is curious to do any extra data analysis, they've now posted the final list of awardees: https://ndseg.sysplus.com/NDSEG/Awardees/FY2020 It looks like there were 162 awardees split evenly between ONR/AFRL/ARO (54 each). As (probably) expected, MIT/Stanford led the way with 16 and 10 awardees, respectively.
  3. I got an e-mail stating they had received and processed my citizenship validation documents (the ones you have to mail in). I've been in contact with Rob Ross a decent amount because I'll be transferring institutions, so he just sent all my paperwork back to me for me to update. He's very responsive.
  4. All 'Yes' and 'Waitlist' had an update on 4/16 or 4/17 except for one waitlisted person who did not report any updates beyond 4/3, although I would guess they just didn't update the date in the spreadsheet. A majority of those with 'No' had last updates in December or February, but 4 people had updates in early April. Edit: For the 'Yes' folks, almost all of them had an update in early April (4/3, 4/6, 4/7), although one person had a last reported update in February prior to a 4/16 or 4/17 update.
  5. When I get home this evening I will add more formulas to the “easier_summary” tab.
  6. It sounds like no acceptance emails have gone out? Only rejection emails? That seems odd. Has anyone who was selected gotten an email?
  7. I've put together a google drive as a repository for successful and unsuccessful proposals/essays/other info. You just have to request to join.
  8. I had convinced myself it wouldn't happen, my goodness. In all seriousness, today will unfortunately be an incredibly exciting day for some, and an incredibly disappointing day for others. Please "win" with dignity and "lose" with grace.
  9. This far and away my favorite post on this thread.
  10. I had nothing in between 4/6 and 4/17
  11. Ope, the unexpected. A 4/17 update. Now my brain has immediately switched to thinking it must be a bad thing.
  12. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Ut7fWlFrpmuyZOaqsca_-zxcPE2KSub-?usp=sharing I think this will work. You should have to request to join the folder.
  13. I was thinking of that just this morning actually. I might create a request-able google drive folder for folks to share their personal essay and proposal.
  14. The hopeful side of me says my 4/6 update could still be a good thing. The realistic side of me sees that almost every 4/17 update was a 4/16 update, and they're probably just updating the applications of awardees or honorable mentions / alternates.
  15. He responded to the e-mail I sent as well. Seems like he's cautiously optimistic about results today, but no guarantees obviously.
  16. This! I never had a single issue on our classified network, but my goodness. WFH one day and you want to remote in? Have fun with the VPN...
  17. Oh yeah, I just meant they wouldn't necessarily require special permissions, it's just more likely that their VPN system isn't up to snuff.
  18. Really just depends on what type of system you're working on. Most of their employees (should) have their a regular laptop they can take home. None of this is classified, so they wouldn't need to be using the classified networks (which are the computer systems that obviously cannot go home).
  19. I added in some new columns to the spreadsheet just for extra data (because we all love data, and because I have insomnia) : Undergrad GPA, Grad GPA, and GRE scores. The 'easier_summary' tab averages them by branch and date. I suspect we'll see no real difference anywhere though, but perhaps it will help us all with post-processing the decisions? edit: GPA intended to be a 4.0 scale, although that potentially varies?
  20. Obviously if your date isn't a prime number then you're out.
  21. The number of 4/16 updates is already high enough that it is above the expected 5% award rate, so he could very well be correct.
  22. This seems most likely to me. Again, the dates also seem somewhat agency specific, especially the April dates.
  23. I think we all agree the dates mean "something," it's what they mean that's up for debate. For example, no ONR updates past 4/7. Perhaps ONR has been done for a while? Or not a single person in the spreadsheet who applied to ONR won? We really don't know.
  24. I was just about to ask the same thing.
  25. Lmao....I literally just signed that post as if I was responding to an e-mail. Too many things going on right now....
