  1. It sounds like some of your MA classes were counted toward your doctorate and that's great! I'm talking more about the doctorate programs that - because they can - require applicants to have first earned a MA and I believe there are some where the MA/MS doesn't count toward the doctorate; it's just required because it is. ? I've seen some places, and I can't remember where or what school, where the requirements said applicants had to have a masters degree "or equivalent". I guess I'm just going to have to send some emails and ask. Thank you for your reply! I hope you and yours are doing well.
  2. Hello all, My situation is a unique one and I haven't had any luck finding an answer using Google. So, I thought I'd ask here. So, here goes... When I was within a few months of finishing an MA degree from an online university, I had to take a 6 month medical leave of absence. While I was on my approved leave of absence, and with no notice to me whatsoever, the university terminated my degree program. Long story short, I'm stuck with the equivalent of 28.5 semester hours toward a MA degree. I know that a lot of MA degrees are between 30-36 credits, putting me 3-9 credits short of completion. Does anyone know of any graduate schools that would accept my MA credits as being equivalent to a MA degree? I'm going to email a few programs to see what they say, but I was wondering if anyone had any insight. Oh, I do have current GRE scores. Any recommendations for what I should do?
