I heard that this is true from my department. Not sure whether paperless means we get rankings or not though.

Last name 'B'... Nothing on my end. I'm hoping with rejections seemingly going out already that those of us still waiting might be in for some good news.

LOL it really does look like these emails are trickling out alphabetically by surname. Lets hope this process is more streamlined for the award decisions tomorrow.

Just received my user and pass via email. Last name 'B' arrived at 5:13 EST. Seeing the same as others when logged in, just an empty Zip file with my name.

The top X% of applicants to the PGS-D are awarded the CGS-D, which is work $35k/yr instead of $21k/yr.

What does your last name start with? I'm 'B' and received the initial email about the extranet but no username or password yet. In any case, the wording of that initial email suggests that we will not hear anything definitive until tomorrow.

I'm not sure this is true. The larger universities do have a quota for the number of applications they can submit but I believe some of the smaller institutions are asked to apply directly through the funding agency and have no quota. The quotas are meant to even the playing field a bit so that Toronto, BC and McGill don't get like 90% of the awards.

I think it should say "Received" if your application made it to the National competition... You could try emailing your department or faculty of graduate studies about this?

Yeah same situation. Last name starts with 'B' and I got the email at 12:27 EST. However, I have not received any log in info for the extranet from NSERC, yet. Lets hope results are announced soon!
