Yes, last year I was able to obtain my ranking after emailing NSERC. I’ve emailed this year to accept my award and also asked for my ranking again. Just waiting to hear back.
The NSERC Post Doctoral Fellowship results are now available. I received, "I regret to inform you that, although your application was considered meritorious, it was not funded due to budgetary constraints." Did others get the same notification?
Also, does anyone know if we will find out our rankings later on?
Hi everyone! I just wanted to share the good news that I was offered a PGSD3 award from NSERC. So there is hope in getting off the waitlist!
And the award is retroactive back into 2020 for anyone that is wondering.
I received news on Monday from my university (Memorial University) that my application will move forward to the national competition. Best of luck to everyone!
Last year my university notified me whether my application was being forwarded to the national competition or not via email three weeks after applications were due. So this year applications were due on October 13, so I do not expect to hear from the university until at least November 3. At this point they also let me fix any formatting issues that the panel noticed when reviewing my application. I had a week and a half to resubmit before they forwarded my application to NSERC.
I do not know if this is standard practice across universities, but I would give it more time. Also, your university should be contacting you either way.
I haven't heard anything yet, nor have I seen anything online that would indicate that they've reached out to alternates. You're right that NSERC still has published any results, so I am hoping that they are still processing people accepting/declining.
I am an alternate in committee 195. I believe I am very close to the cut off.
Ranked 77/182, with average scores of 57.00 and 63.67 for research ability and relevant experience, respectively.
