my feeling is that if no interview request is received by today, it's probably a reasonable expectation that it's a no. really sucks, but for me at least, time to move on to other opportunities! it's been nice to share the wait with others, wishing you all the best of luck! (if by chance I do receive a request, I will still post on here) all the best!

I reached out to the isp this morning and received an email back saying that they don't share details of the application process, but all applicants will receive word in mid-June. Kind of wish I hadn't sent it, felt a bit like an inconvenience! But at least this can save some of you the trouble of reaching out, hope this helps a little

Last year invites went out 5/12, but who knows this year, so I think you're right, distractions and waiting it is (;
-
I'm very hesitant to do that, but I wish someone would!

this wait is tough, kind of wish they had a notification for when interview requests have been sent! how is everyone holding up?
-
thank you for this! helpful to have a little insight
-
i only know a few that have applied but so far none of them have heard anything
-
not yet, but i will post on here if i do!

I haven't heard anything back yet, and I do have a couple of friends who applied who also haven't heard anything... It's a tough wait!

My application was for art, last year I believe interview requests went out second week of May? Not sure if that is typical
-
Where did you get this stat, out of curiosity?
-
Same, and congrats to you both! From my understanding, financial aid info will be forthcoming in the next week or two ( :

That makes sense! Yes I was looking at their Art Mfa, which is only two ( :

I'm curious how you came to your number for CalArts, from their website I calculated tuition for 2 years at 106,200. Perhaps you are counting in housing? Just want to be sure I have my numbers correct ( :

I definitely don't have any illusions about making it "big," I don't think my work is of the type that really does that ( : but I do have the goal of eventually having enough of a career to be able to show regularly and to have spaces to exhibit installation work...Thanks for your feedback!

Thank you for your input, I've been trying to gather experiences and information from those who have been or know someone in these programs...very difficult to make these decisions purely through online information, especially when choosing between a number of programs, every little bit of info helps! And yes, I had also read that about CalArts, which makes me feel like it is a good fit in that respect.

You seem very well versed in researching schools. I'm curious your thoughts on this article: https://news.artnet.com/art-world/mfa-degree-successful-artists-620891 I'm also interested in your thoughts on CalArts, and it's ability to create connections for emerging artists...

I had a question maybe someone who has applied more than one cycle could answer... If you haven't been contacted for an interview, are you pretty much out of the running for that program? Just trying to balance out acceptances with programs I haven't heard from, and what I can expect moving forward!
-
Do you have a strong preference for any of the programs?

Just passing this along, received my invitation to interview with ArtCenter last night ( :
