Good evening, I'm a german bachelor student in mathematics. Throughout my bachelor I had (almost exclusively) perfect grades but decided in my last (the 6th) semester that I'd like to pursue a career in stats. Therefore I added another year to my bachelor taking all the stats courses of the department during the time and will finish my bachelor thesis this summer (in 8 instead of 6 semesters). Undergrad: LMU in Munich Major: Mathematics GPA: 1.0 (on a scale from 1.0 - 4.0) Math Courses: Linear Algebra I + II (1.0), Calculus III (1.0), Numeric 0 (1.3), Numeric I (1.0), Complex Analysis (1.0), ODEs (1.0), Seminar in Galois Theory and Quadratic Forms (both 1.0) Probability Theory and Stats: Probability Theory and Statistics 0 (1.0), Probability Theory 1 (1.0), Statistics 2 (graduate level) (1.0), R Programming Course (1.0), Seminar in LeCam Theory (1.0) CS Courses: Software Engineering I (1.3), Algorithms and Data Structures (1.0), Theoretical CS (1.0) Bachelor Thesis: In non-parametric density estimation Further experience: R project "Non parametric density estimation" Tutor in "Calculus I", "Calculus III" and "Probability Theory and Statistics" One 2 months research internship LoR: I'm not sure about the letters of recommendations yet. Probability I'll ask two of the professors, which know me and my abilities well an one professor from the research internship. Considering applying to: Oxford MSc Statistical Science, Cambridge MASt in Mathematical Statistics Question: I have no idea if my profile is even worth the application. My final GPA is perfect, but I studied an additional year (with reason but still). What would be good UK universities for which my profile would be a good fit?
