  1. Does anyone have any information/update on East Asian Studies Masters program at Harvard, Stanford, Yale and Columbia?
  2. I applied to EAS MA programs at Harvard, Columbia, Stanford, Yale and Oxford. Heard from someone in the program, that this year's admission will likely to be more competitive due to less available seating from deferrals last year. I will keep posted. Fingers crossed, good luck to yall!
  3. Thank you. Do you perhaps know what the acceptance rate was for the year you applied? On Peterson's, RSEA acceptance rate is 39% but it seems incorrectly high. I am just feeling very anxious waiting for the results to come out next month. Any information would tremendously help!
  4. I applied to Harvard RSEA, Stanford CEAS, Yale CEAS, Oxford CCS and Columbia MARSEA. How about you? Yeah I agree. I also heard from people in the program that they are taking less students this year because number of last year's cohort took a gap year (which is unprecedented).
  5. Waiting to hear back. I applied to EAS MA programs. good luck!
  6. Hi all. I know this application cycle many PhD programs are not accepting new students. Could you guys share your opinion on how it will play out for master's program? I applied for the top US MA in regional studies East Asia programs. How competitive are these programs to begin with? Will it be more competitive due to less seating or even less competitive as less applicants this year. Please share your thoughts on this thread, it would be greatly appreciated! Best of luck to all!
  7. Hi, I will be applying for MA programs (Harvard, Stanford, Yale, Columbia) in East Asian Studies for the upcoming admission cycle. If anyone is already in the program or planning to apply please help us find out more about the admissions this year. Quite frankly, I am worried Does anyone have any idea how the admissions will be different? I heard that many students (especially international students) have deferred admission. 1. Do deferrals mean less spots available for this cycle? (Luckily, I don't need funding) 2. There must be some ratio of cohort that admission is designed for. If most deferrals are from internationals, then would this adversely affect international quota? Thank you for your help in advance. ***Please post your questions or concerns related to East Asian Studies MA programs here. More the merrier! Let's keep this going!***
