Hello! I was recently accepted into Pacific University's low-res MFA program for poetry (whose faculty includes Dorianne Laux, Marvin Bell, Ellen Bass, Kwame Dawes among others...) and an email from NYU that I will "hear good news soon!". Any thoughts on either low-res program -any applicants or grads out there that can give me some insight into the mentorship aspect of these programs? I feel like PU, based on how hands-on they have been, will give more personalized attention, and they have offered me some minor funding. However, NYU has a name recognition. Thoughts? I have to make a decision this week. Thanks!

Thanks - I just emailed them and they said they would expedite letting me know by Friday. I also received an official “no” from WW on Monday, but am hoping to have some options w/NYU. It’ll be a tough call - good luck to you, ForLease!

I just applied to this program, along with Warren Wilson and Pacific University. PU called with an acceptance, but I haven't heard anything from WW (thinking this is a bad sign) or NYU. Any word from NYU from anyone else (low-res program)? I know they extended their deadline until the 15th, but just curious. Thanks!
