  1. I’d love to know which one you pick. I’m trying to decide between parsons and Pratt right now. Parsons is very welcoming.
  2. What program did you apply to there? I’m still waiting to hear from them.
  3. I’m considering Pratt. I was accepted there and Parsons. Neither place is open for campus visits at the moment so I’m having the trouble choosing. I’m also still waiting to hear from Columbia. How are you making your decision?
  4. Just did a search here on UCLA applicants, seems like a lot of new/genres and sculpture people heard from the school in February. I have not heard from them on my application for good or bad. Are people getting rejection emails? I'm also waiting on Columbia. I do have an interview at Pratt on Tuesday. rejected: Yale, RISD, Hunter interviewed: Parsons, Pratt waiting: UCLA, Columbia
  5. Hey thanks. Good luck to you too!
  6. That's great! I applied to Hunter too, but for sculpture/installation work. I am still waiting to hear from them. Did you hear from them this last week? When I interviewed at Parsons, I had only two or three days notice before the interview, but it was very exciting and they were also very positive and good listeners. I guess I'm anxious to hear from more schools. It feels like it's taking so long!
  7. Ok, good to know. Thanks! I’m applying for sculpture and new media, depending on the program. Good luck to you!
  8. Hey all, I applied to Parsons, Pratt, UCLA, Hunter Cuny, RISD, Yale and Columbia MFA programs. So far I have had one very promising and positive interview with Parsons and I have been rejected by Yale. (The program at Yale was a super longshot with only 3 spots open in my area, so I had no illusions of getting in.) But has anyone heard of from any of these other programs? I am also wondering if they're going to request interviews too. Good luck everyone!
  9. Great video! That was really helpful. I'm getting application materials ready currently. I'm planning to apply to mostly international schools- Staedelschule in Frankfurt, Kunste in Berlin, Universitat de Barca in Barcelona. Each of these places has a different way of applying and vastly different deadlines. The schools in the US seem to be more standardized and have more detailed information on their websites about what they want. In the US, I'm looking at MIT, Cranbrook, UCLA, Yale... I figure, while I have the materials flowing, I may as well try, even if it's only throwing money way. I have a background in ceramics, electronic arts, installation and photography so I'll be applying in sculpture. Currently, I'm three weeks deep into writing my statement. It's a pain in the ass to have to define one's self on paper, an incredible time sink, but also very revealing and ultimately useful. I'm hoping to finish today. Anyone else struggling on their statement?
