The WFP careers page has put out a series of consultant pool announcements. The writing on the wall is clear, there is no intention to hire from the P grade pools. It's a shame how they've led people on the past few years.

Anyone get an update in status to the application that made it into the pool? I just checked and it seems there was some type of update made to mine. Perhaps this could be an anomaly but status updates were always a positive thing during the selection phase....

@JP25 Are you referring to the HR pool or across all pools?

From the sample size of this forum it looks like the absorption rate from the pools is an inspiring 0%. Meanwhile WFP is advertising across all work roles for temporary positions. Looks like after all that work this still isn't going to be our way in.

@Ahmed1310 reading through the forum, some were requested before even attending the panel, while some were asked after a couple weeks. It varies, but you could always contact devex to ask.

@Ahmed1310 which fitpool did you interview for? Timing for requesting references doesn't seem to be consistent plus with the holiday period and new year there is most likely a delay.

@Uhuru2020, Happy New Year!, So from your last message it sounds as if once you are in the FITpool the subsequent steps are to receive an invitation to apply for role and compete once more? Also, do you recall how long it took to be notified of your inclusion into the pool after your panel interview?

What's the consensus on the time it takes to receive a decision after the panel interview? They mentioned 2 months. Anyone receive word any sooner?

I made it through the video interview for B&P in late September. What step are you at now Vera? Does anyone know if FITpool candidates are ever assigned to HQ in Rome?
