  2. did anyone get any invites from NYU where their first choice was the data ,medicine, and health option?
  3. anyone apply to carnegie mellon biological sciences and get an interview yet? I haven't heard from them
  4. Oh that's great! I didn't get one yet, so far I looked at past posts and all of the interview invites came in January so we have to wait still ?
  5. I applied to Rochester! What program did you apply to there? Mine is translational BMS; i didn't hear back from them yet though
  6. you got this!!! You can search up "rochester genetics development and stem cells" here on the results search page to see when past applicants got interview invites, i actually didn't know about this until a few days ago haha. and i applied to those because of the research involved, a lot of the PIs are super helpful with guidance which I want
  7. Oh I meant what PhD program in Rochester did you apply to? And if anything you still have time to email PIs you want to work with! I applied to the translational BMS program at Rochester and UW-Madison.
  8. yay! Which program did you apply to? For some universities that have direct PhD programs, it's better to talk to some PIs so they can hopefully persuade the admissions committee to accept you since usually these programs accept less people compared to umbrella programs like general biomedical science PhD programs (think NYU or Yale)
  9. it was about the gut microbiome and how it affected the onset of alzheimer's disease; I enjoyed it a lot mostly because my PI was so friendly and helped me a lot. and you got this!! I love your manifestation advice, i say that literally every night haha
  10. thank you!!! I hope you get into your top choice as well what is your top choice? All these schools love play with our feelings that I'm sure everyone wants this over with. Also, I saw your profile and noticed you're interested in the gut microbiome, one of my research was based on that!!
  11. to their Translational BMS program I looked at the past results here and they usually send their interviews mid January, did you get to email any potential PIs? Apparently they might be accepting fewer students
  12. I am honestly so scared; I keep emailing the graduate coordinator of my top choice with questions so they know I'm super interested and I keep emailing potential PIs I want to research under (but one emailed back saying she doesn't know she'll be accepting while the other two didnt respond rip). I'm also worried because usually during these times, there's an increase in grad school applications so hopefully that doesn't put me at a disadvantage ?
