  1. That would be really helpful! Specifically, I am looking to possibly work in the pharmaceutical industry so I'd prefer schools in the Northeast.
  2. Realistically, I know that a lot of the top ranked schools for statistics/biostatistics PhD are probably out of reach based on my grades so far, as they are decent but very mediocre. I have no real interest in academia and would want to work in industry, but I can't really find too much information on this site about the non-academic side. Are unranked PhD programs worth it for industry and do they generally offer funding? Is there a list of programs that are known place students in industry after graduation? Based on my profile, schools T40-T50 are probably out of reach for me.
  3. Hello, I am math and statistics major and I was considering applying to a couple economics PhD programs in addition to statistics ones. Does anyone have more insight about the difference in job opportunities for the two fields? I know it is likely to overlap a little. I have barely taken any economics courses but I assume my math and stats coursework is helpful Econometrics Mathematical Statistics 1,2,grad Calc 1-3, diff eq, lin alg Regression I have 2 more semesters before I apply to anything, what sort of classes are economics phd programs looking for?
  4. I am planning on applying for a statistics/biostatistics PhD and I am definitely not going to get a good grade in one of my classes (mathematical finance) and probably will utilize P/F instead of a letter grade -- how bad does this look? Also I see that a lot of people have a ton of research, how exactly do you go about finding it? Just emailing professors? I go to a large public school but I haven't had that much success finding research actually related to statistics
