  1. Hi. I am in the process of choosing an MA program in Econ for graduate study in Canada. My main focus is to gain a strong quantitative foundation (e.g. econ theory, econometrics) for going to a PhD in Econ. I am also interested in computational economics, but it not a must (it's nice if the program offers). Anyone with experience in this please give me some advice on which universities should I apply to (and the chance to get funding, either TA or RA). I intend to apply to around 10 schools. A bit about my background: BS in finance (international student, unknown university) GPA: 3.8x / 4.0 GRE: 320 (165Q, 155V, 3.5W). My verbal and writing are quite low, and I don't know how much they will affect my chance IELTS: 7.5 Research experience: 3 months in undergrad Work experience: 4 years in fintech sector (data analyst then data scientist). Pretty solid technical skills in programming, data analysis, and machine learning SOP: a believe it's pretty standard LORs: 1 from math, 1 from stats, 1 from econ (not big names) Thank you very much.
