I am currently searching for strong programs for 19th century US history from a cultural and social perspective.
The following schools are the ones that I wish to apply to:
-UC Berkeley (primarily for Henkin)
-UPenn (primarily for McCurry, but also Peiss and Brown)
-Penn State (primarily for Greenberg)
-Wisconsin-Madison (Johnson; unsure about this one??)
-Michigan (Cook, McClellan)
-Indiana (Sandweiss, Dierks, Spang (culture in France))
Any other recommendations? Thank you!
