Hello!! Did anyone who had a preliminary interview for Scripps a few weeks ago hear back/get invited for the real interview dates? I'm assuming I'm rejected because the February interview date is just days away. I had a short interview for chembio at the CA campus

noooooo I was actually going to DM you to ask if you had heard because I remember that you had the preliminary interview too a few weeks ago!

I didn't apply for physical chem but actually reached out a few days ago. They said that they sent out the invites for the open house already but that a decision is still being made on my application. Not exactly sure what that means.

CONGRATS! Me too! I was so happy :~) Hopefully we'll hear from Scripps this week. This really has felt like it's been dragging on and on...

They apparently have a twitter account where they posted that they submitted 30 interview invites on 1/08/2021. I have a feeling that's all there'll be but who knows!

I’m chembio. They gave us options for a call either Friday evening or Monday afternoon last Friday.

They scheduled me for tomorrow!!! I’m excited

I think I will just know whether I will get the formal interview invite! I'm not exactly sure what the actual visit weekend is either. But it's probably a good thing that you got your invite so early and didn't have to do the preliminary interview! I would guess I was probably in a pool of second-tier choices or something ?

Also chem bio! Last week Scripps reached out to me to schedule a short, informal interview. The interviews have been taking place late last week and early this week. They should reach out about the virtual visit weekend in a few days!

I personally have not heard anything. I also don’t know anyone else who applied so I have no info that would be helpful for you ?

I feel like I saw that the people said the interviews were 15 minutes, so you might be right. (Or maybe I’m misremembering...) That makes me feel better. Did you also apply to Scripps? I am antsy about there because I also haven’t gotten an interview there.

I am also curious about Caltech and if they sent out all of their interview invites already. I wasn’t aware they were interviewing people until I saw posts a few weeks ago!
