  1. Hello, I'm not quite sure if this is the correct area but I had some questions regarding admissions. I'm currently an undergraduate electrical engineering student(graduating in the fall) from a University that is top 10 in radar engineering (University of Oklahoma). My stats are as follows: Overall GPA: 3.74/4.00, Major GPA: 4.00/4.00, GRE: Haven't taken yet I've taken 6 graduate level electrical engineering classes in electromagnetics and have gotten all A's in them but I'm worried I haven't done enough research to apply to top 10 programs. Last semester I did research with a professor that is one of the best in the field but the only thing that I have to show for it is being a paid lab assistant with no real research/papers. I can likely get a good letter of recommendation from them but I'm not sure if I should stick around for a master's in order to get more research/output a thesis before I apply to top 10 PhD programs or if I would be able to apply to top programs with my current stats. My master's would not be paid for and I would have to continue to take out loans to pay for out of state tuition so I would prefer to avoid doing my master's at my current university. Any guidance or recommendations would be much appreciated.
