  1. Hello, I want to complete all of my SLP prerequisites starting this Summer. I plan on applying to ENMU, Longwood University, and University of Colorado Boulder. If anyone has taken their prerequisite courses at any of these schools, can you tell me your experience? How was the workload? I understand most of these courses are 8 weeks, was it intense or manageable? I will be working full time so taking 1 class at a time would be my preference. Are any/all of the exams proctored? I was never good at science in undergrad, so it is a fear of mine that the Professor's will teach poorly, or I will not be able to keep up. I got my first Master's in social work online, and I found it very beneficial. I do not know how it would be for science related courses. Any feedback would be appreciated, thank you!

  3. Hey! I am also planning to apply for Fall 2021 so I am trying to get my pre reqs out the way. Even smaller world I am taking this exact course at Montgomery College this Spring semester! I reached out to ASHA and they told me they do not make the decision, the graduate program does. I contacted several programs that I am interested in applying to, and most of them have responded saying a lab is not required for the physical science requirement, and the Chemistry and Society course is acceptable. They said as long as the course is "CHEM" it'll be accepted. I too was worried that the "society" part of the course wouldn't apply! But one of the course outcomes is to describe the chemical and physical properties of atoms, ions, and molecules. I sent them the course description and the syllabus from the school for a better description. Anyways, hope this helps and maybe we will take the same class!
