One more question: We were supposed to send "confirmation of start date" in the acceptance email. I just mentioned the date I want to start the NSERC fellowship on in the email. Are we supposed to provide them with any confirmation from the host institution or anything?

Did anyone send an email accepting the award yet? If yes, did you get any response from NSERC with any further details? I just got the standard NSERC acknowledgement email in response and am unsure if there is anything else I need to do.

For me, the file was titled Notification of Results and it clearly stated that I was offered the award. Maybe wait for some time for another letter? You should definitely be clearly informed.

Just wanted to update that I received the NSERC postdoctoral fellowship (Selection Committee 197 for Electrical Engineering). Got the notification letter directly on Extranet (no email notification though).

Anyone received the results yet? I noticed they updated the folder today in my Extranet account but I still can not see the contents.

Thanks for sharing! Did they, by any chance, mention if they plan to release the results before the end of January?

I also emailed them today and they said results will be sent out next week.

I agree. A lot more applicants this time with the relaxation in eligibility requirement. I read somewhere that they send out acceptances before the rejections. Lets see if we hear something in the coming week.

I am not sure. Till last year, they were sending the results via snail mail. But I did hear that they might be using Extranet this time to go paperless. Lets see.
