I have two little ones (2 & under), a full-time job, and a husband.  ? I was accepted into a Ph.D. program 30 minutes from where I live.  I am thrilled, because this is the only school I applied to, and I really enjoyed the campus, program structure, and faculty that I met.  I’m nervous about balancing everything, but hopeful that my kids will be in daycare and I can maximize my time when they are in school.  We can do this!  Good to know I’m not alone.

I live in Dallas and things have been terrible here in Texas.  No power, water or internet access, or access to food for many families.  The entire state is in crisis, and will probably be shutdown until this weekend.  Many campuses are closed or not operating to full capacity.  Ironically temps will be in the 60s/70s next week, so there is light at the end of the tunnel.  Best of luck everyone!

I just received an acceptance email from The University of Texas at Arlington!  I don’t think anyone in this thread applied to UTA, but it was my top school and the only one I applied to (so I was nervous)!  Best of luck to everyone!
