Im not an international student but received an offer. However, I don't recommend it at all if you are in theory and interested in working with Prof. Joel or Paesani. I found them very impolite and strict during the virtual visits and the individual meetings. They will tell you that if you are like this or that you will be kicked out of the group. Very weird experience! I think other theory students had similar experience. they can comment probably here.

How do you know you are on the waitlist?

how can we know if they have a waiting list? does such a thing exist at all?

do you know weather they provide funding for international students or not?

what track are you for UCB? did they interview you?

Are you in organic track? does it matter which track someone has master out? and again is applying for PhD?

Hi everyone, have applied for theoretical track. Got my master in theory under supervision of a very famous PI in one of UC and applied again for this year. Heard from UCSD in late Dec for an interview and received the letter one week later. Still, waiting for MIT, Caltech, and UCB. I wish i can get from UCB. Anybody got admission in theoretical track from top schools? it's not fair if schools have planned to hire a small size cohort this year due to Covid. Already, have been impacted for my applications!
