This is what happened last year: Stanford GSE's website said that decisions were due mid-February. On 2/14 (a Friday), a classmate who also applied to the same program got her acceptance letter in the morning. My rejection letter came 8 hours later, late in the afternoon (pacific time).

Hi all! I'm applying to CU Boulder's program (LSHD track) and have been invited to the Finalists Weekend. @FwdThnkr, did you manage to attend last year's event? Was it really like a "welcome weekend"? I also received a sort of informal acceptance email from a UCI professor (track: TLEI) and have been invited to UPenn's "Doctoral Candidate Session" + interviews. Prety excited and anxious. Which school did you choose, by the way, if you you don't mind sharing? Best
